The Kimberley Ports Authority (KPA) is responsible for the efficient operation of commercial trading ports in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. The KPA oversees multiple ports, including the Ports of Derby, Yampi Sound, Wyndham, and notably, the Port of Broome. The authority plays a crucial role in managing maritime activities and ensuring the security of the ports it oversees.
