The inspiration for this artwork has been watching Brolga's dancing when travelling through the wetlands of the Kimberley. Brolga's dance as part of their elaborate courtship, and involves wing-flapping, leaping and loud trumpeting as part of their dance. The background gives an impression of the marshlands created with wool using felting technique. To create the detail of the brolgas dancing in the foreground I have used a needle felting technique.
