Curator

Jessica Bidewell is an independent curator, practising artist, and art mentor with a Bachelor Degree in Art and Visual Culture. She has a depth of experience within the Arts, working with artists and curating many exhibitions, including 3 previous Kimberley Art Prize Exhibitions (the 48th, 49th and 50th year), student exhibitions and several personal exhibits.

Jess has worked with many corporations including the North Regional TAFE, Public Schools, School of the Air, the Shire of West Kimberley, Horizon Power and many other private and public sectors around Australia, completing commission artworks and teaching art skills to a variety of people.

Jess and her family have lived in Derby for over 5 years and she has travelled around Australia twice with enthusiasm for the details in the natural environment and rare beauty that is often unnoticed.

Jess says it is the greatest pleasure to be curating for the Kimberley Art Prize and is always excited to see so much talent within the Kimberley region.
